Hub is back online. A Postmortem on the incident.

Hub is back online.

First off, I’d like to present my most sincere apologies for Hub’s downtime yesterday and for the inconvenience it may have caused you.

All Hub client VPSs and services should be back online as I write. If not, please reply back to this email, and we’ll be on it ASAP.

In a nutshell, our Panama Data Center had a power outage yesterday. The incident fried the power supply of some of our equipment. In particular that of our main switch. We worked around the clock to resolve this and get everyone back online.

Secondly, a mea culpa. The event brought to light that we could do a better job to communicate on Force Majeure issues that make Hub itself unreachable. Corrective steps are on their way. The first and immediate one is to invite you to follow @huborg on Twitter.

Again my most sincere apologies for the downtime.
